The braces are now glued onto the back plate in a go-box.  This box allows me to use wooden dowels to press the braces into place while they are being glued.

In this picture we see the braces for the top plate being glued into place.  In this case I need to have the side rim in place to make sure the braces are properly positioned.

After the X-braces are glued in the tone braces are glued in.

This is the template I am using for the contra-rosette.

After gluing many many little pieces of wood together we have a finished contra-rosette.

Finally in this stage I am gluing the center strip in place.  This piece of wood is used to reinforce the joint between the two halves of the back plate.
