Here is Bonnie looking over the set of wood she has chosen for her baritone ukulele.

Wer are making this ukulele out of Cocobolo and Spanish Cedar.

We will use this set for the back. The dark wood is the heartwood and the light collered section are the sapwood.

This is a picture of the side pieces. These are called a bookmatched set because they are sequential pieces cut from a single log. When the pieces are opened up like the pages of a book they present a symetrical patern around the center line.

This is a picture of the Spanish Cedar set we are going to use for the top. The warm and rich red color of this set will compliment the Cocobolo nicely.
